Settings for the current profile

When starting Predator XP for the first time, you should se someting like this:

You should see your current profiles (Default Profile if started the first time) in the combo box/dropdown box.

You can add or remove profiles in the ’Profiles’-menu. If you want to change the settings for your currently selected profile, you can do this in ’Files —> Settings for current profile’-menu.

Settings for the current profile

You can change your settings for the current profile by choosing ’File —> Settings for current profile’ from the menu. A dialog like this appears:

General — Profile

This is the name of the current profile.

General — Host

This is the LDAP hostname or IP number.

General — Port

The port on the server that listens for LDAP connects. This is usually 389 or 636 if using SSL.

General — Protocol Version

The LDAP version used to connect to the server. Usually 3.

General — Base DN

The distinguished name of the search base.

Predator XP — Settings — Credentials

Credentials — User DN

The distinguished name to bind to the server with.

Credentials — Password

The credentials to bind with to the server.

Credentials — Save Password

Check this to save your password in the registry. The password will be saved encrypted.

Credentials — Wipe Password

Used to remove the encrypted password from the registry.

Credentials — Anonymous Bind

Check this to bind to the server as anonymous user.

Predator XP — Settings — LDAP Settings

LDAP Settings — Timeout

Server timout.

LDAP Settings — SizeLimit

Max size of objects returned from the server.

LDAP Settings — Secure Socket Layer

Check this if connecting using SSL.
